Jeremy Coan, one of the members of Crew 37, attended two treks to Philmont (1999 and 2001, the first as a Crew trek and the second as part of a Council Contingent). He enjoyed HOmE so much that he applied for, and got, a staff position at the ranch during the "Fire Season" of 2002.

Initially, he was to be a Ranger, but an injury during Ranger training got him reassigned to the Activities Staff, where he welcomed incoming crews, helped with recreational activities for the Philstaff, and (most visibly) performed during the closing campfires for crews coming off the trail.

Several Philtrekkers have asked for words or music to the songs he performed, so we're posting here MP3s of three of the songs. Two ("I Want to Fly" and "Nightmare") are slightly rewritten songs by other artists, and one is an original tune.
